š¤ About the tour
We humans like to think weāre exceptional beings, but just like trees, rocks and tabletops, weāre nothing but the products of physics, moulded by its laws.
Yes, our ability to love, to regret, to build, to destroy, separates us from inanimate objects, but the reality is weāre just bags of particles, or as Professor Brian Greene eloquently puts it, ālife is physics orchestrated.ā Pretty humbling, huh?
While our lifespans are mere blips on the universeās timeline, it doesnāt make them worthless. As Brian describes it, the novelty of our existence lies in the fact weāre transient travellers made from the same matter as everything and everyone around us!
Our āblipā is part of a cosmic story that started at the dawn of time, has been shaped by entropy and evolution, and will one day come to a spectacular end. Join Brian for a journey along the timeline of our universe, from the very beginning to the present moment, until the end of time.
More Information
Weāre quick to forget that we havenāt been here for long.
Numbers can never do our universeās age justice, but if we translated its incomprehensible value into just one day, humans wouldnāt show up until 23:59!
Within this minuscule timeframe, to say āmuch has happenedā would be a woeful understatement.
We survived The Ice Age, contended with the Black Plague, started world wars, took humanity to the Moon, and have got so good at producing and consuming that the environment is suffering (to name a few of our achievements).
Our lifespans and living conditions are better than ever. With most of the world hooked up to the internet, we now have access to pages upon pages of history about our past failures, so why havenāt we learnt?
Humans have only existed in the universe for a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of its history, and if we want to persist within in it, we need to acknowledge, appreciate, and be inspired by the tiny space we occupy.
This is the vital message Brian Greene has dedicated his life to promoting. Brian Greene is touring across Australia and New Zealand to explore the fascinating story of our universe, and along the way remind us of how unique, fragile and meaningful our circumstances are.
Part philosopher and part physicist, donāt expect him to get bogged down in equations ā Brianās passion spills over into discussions of free will, art, religion and ethics, which he examines through the lens of not only a scientist with 40 years experience, but also as a kid whose curiosity knows no bounds.
This event will be your reminder that the vastness of our universe cares little for human beings, so itās up to us to take charge of our destiny.
Grab your tickets to see one of our generationās greatest minds in full force LIVE in 2023 across Australia and New Zealand!
āš Who is Brian Greene?
First and foremost heās credited with groundbreaking discoveries in superstring theory, including the co-discovery of mirror symmetry, and the discovery of spatial topology change.
His work has captured the imaginations of people around the world, with his appearances on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and the Joe Rogan Experience racking up millions of views.
Heās authored six incredibly successful books, heās the head of Columbia Universityās Center for Theoretical Physics, AND is chairman of the World Science Festival (which he co-founded)!

š In-Person Tickets
If youāre anything like us, your idea of a fun time is witnessing one of the worldās best theoretical physicists explore the intricacies of our strange universe.
Prepare to be infected (too soon?) by Brian Greeneās passion for the universe, which often spills over into titillating existential musings on free will, religion, art and ethics.
We design Think Inc. events to be a bit like a rap concert: high energy. Bring some friends and make some new ones as you witness one of the most influential scientists of our generation live in conversation.
